Auditions-
Sunday, January 15th starting at 2pm. Registration is required. Each actor will get a 10-minute timeslot. Actors should prepare 16 bars of a song that shows their range.
Callbacks-
Monday, January 16th from 6-8pm. Callbacks will consist of readings from the script.
Rehearsals-
Sundays, January 22nd-Sunday, April 2nd from 3-6 pm at the NESPA studio.
Saturday rehearsal on 4/8. Time t.b.d.
Monday, April 10th - transition to The Peabody Black Box, 22 Foster St. in Peabody.
Tech rehearsals- Monday, April 10th-Thursday, April 13th., 5-8pm at the Black Box. No rehearsal Wednesday, April 12th.
Ticketed performances- Friday, April 14th @ 7pm, Saturday, April 15th at 2pm and 5pm. Sunday, November 20th @ 1pm.
The show-
Based on one of the most popular Disney movies of all time and the Broadway musical that played for over 2,500 performances and received multiple Olivier and Tony Awards nominations, Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's Mary Poppins is capturing hearts in a whole new way: as a practically perfect Broadway Junior musical!
The jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family members how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren't the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that "Anything can happen if you let it."
