Hello Wonka Families!
We are so excited to have your child joining us for our next production! We have a large group coming in this afternoon and we are beyond thrilled to get to work with them all! The program starts today from 4-7pm. We have a very short rehearsal time so being punctual is very important to avoid distractions once we begin. Our space is at 55 Concord St in North Reading. You do not need to come in for drop-off, but we do ask that families come in at pick-up for safety reasons. Today we will audition the actors for role placement. The production team decided to do the Jr. version (1 hour) as opposed to the KIDS version (30 minutes) because the Jr. version has more music. The audition process will be learning 16 bars of "The Candy Man" which everyone will sing. We will then do readings from the script. Each actor will be able to read for one character of their choice. I will decide if I want them to read for additional characters. There will be no dance audition for this show. Our auditions are VERY supportive and the kids really cheer each other on. If you are a new NESPA family, please know that we work very hard at creating a loving, nurturing environment for all. The cast list will be e-mailed out by Wednesday. We are in the process of securing the Pike school (in Andover) for our performances and I am expecting the contract to be signed this week. This is a new venue for us and the process took longer than usual with the holidays. I will confirm the performance times ASAP. Please keep Saturday, April 4th completely open. The kids are welcome to bring snacks/drinks of their choice. We don't always have a formal snack break but they are able to eat when needed. Please no nuts of any kind because we have a very severe nut allergy child in this program. Thank you for understanding. I am attaching our information form for new families to our program. Please return (next week is fine) so we have it on file. This email address (as opposed to the business address, [email protected], is the easiest way to reach me quickly. My cell is 978-809-5285. Our production staff for this show will be- Director- Kelly Walsh Music Director- Stacy Whalen-Kelley Choreographer- Chloe Hanrahan Technical Director- Eric Kelley Costumes- Kim Albushies and Pamela Weisenbach Please reach out anytime with questions and concerns!
