OVERVIEW / SYNOPSIS
Everyone's favorite practically perfect nanny takes the stage in this Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious musical adventure! Based on the books by P.L. Travers and the classic Walt Disney film.
The jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family members how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren't the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that "Anything can happen if you let it."
About the process-
Casting will happen at the first rehearsal, and everyone who registers will be cast. This is an excellent learning experience for young actors who want to perform in a fully-staged musical. We create a safe learning environment where everyone will feel like an important part of the production. We value inclusion, creativity and fun.
Rehearsal Dates - Wednesday, March 1st - Wednesday, May 17th. Rehearsals are from 4-6:30pm.
No rehearsal April 19th
Ticketed Performances-
Saturday, 5/20 - 12:30 and 2pm
Sunday, 5/21 - 11am, 12:30pm and 2:30pm (lunch break between 2nd and 3rd show)
*Please note that we have added a fifth show to the schedule. We are anticipating the show to be 30 minutes long.
Location- Rehearsals and performances will take place at the NESPA Theatre, 55 Concord St. in North Reading, MA.
