FALL 2024 - Play Production: "The Nightmare Before Christmas" - Mondays, 4:30pm-6:30pm (Ages 8-12) FULL
THIS PROGRAM HAS FILLED UP FOR THE FALL, BUT PLEASE KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN FOR THE WINTER PLAY PRODUCTION ANNOUNCEMENT!
This fall, our play production class will be working on a stage version of Tim Burton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas!" This 30 minute, non-musical version of the story will incorporate elements from Tim Burton's original poem as well as the classic stop-motion film!
"When the Pumpkin King, Jack Skellington, grows tired of the same old routine each October 31st, he leaves Halloween Town to search for something new. When he happens upon a magical place called Christmas Town, he becomes inspired to give this new holiday a try! With the help of the residents of Halloween Town, Jack plots to take control of Christmas by kidnapping Santa Claus and assuming the role himself. But he soon learns that even the best laid plans can go seriously awry..."
Learn about all the aspects that go into a play - from acting to costumes to set! This class will teach actors how to take a script and bring it to life alongside faculty members who will inspire and guide. Young actors will build confidence in themselves as performers and as people in an encouraging environment. We have mastered the art of transforming young performers into dynamic actors.
The class will culminate in a weekend of ticketed ($12) performances!
