FALL '25 - Minis Musical: "ANNIE!" TUESDAYS 4:00-6:30 (Grades 1-5)
OVERVIEW/SYNOPSIS
"With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City. Annie is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. Annie eventually foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations, finding a new home and family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary, Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy."
With plenty of parts to go around, including featured roles as well as ensemble parts for orphans, servants and tourists, Annie JR. is ideal for productions involving different grade levels.
ABOUT THE PROCESS
Casting will happen at the first rehearsal, and everyone who registers will be cast. This is an excellent learning experience for young actors who want to perform in a fully-staged musical. We create a safe learning environment where everyone will feel like an important part of the production. We value inclusion, creativity and fun.
We limit the number of actors in our program so that we can build one-on-one relationships with them. We individualize their experience, to help them develop the skills necessary to thrive in the theatre arts. We pride ourselves on creating top-notch learning experience on stage and off.
Rehearsal dates: Tuesdays, September 2nd- November 11th, 4pm-6:30pm
Location: Rehearsals and performances will take place at the NESPA Blackbox Theatre, located at 55 Concord St. in North Reading, MA. We now occupy suites 106 and 107.
