WINTER '25: Teen Play Production (Ages 13+) "A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM" - MONDAYS, 6pm-8pm
We are excited to announce our Advanced Play Production Program will be working on a 45-60 minute adaptation of Shakespeare's most famous comedy, A Midsummer Night's Dream.
ABOUT THE SHOW:
"Set against the backdrop of the Duke Theseus's wedding to the Queen of the Amazon, Hippolyta, A Midsummer Night's Dream contains multiple overlapping subplots featuring a variety of colorful characters: Four young Athenians caught in a love square, a feud between the King and Queen of the fairies, and a traveling salesman who is pulled into the antics after being magically transformed into a donkey!"
This script has adapted to be an accessible, one-act show for actors new to Shakespeare!
ABOUT THE PROCESS:
Building on the foundation of our Kid's Play Production, this next-level experience is designed to challenge more experienced performers with a longer production, more complex staging, and richer dialogue. Actors will work on creating fully developed characters with clear motivations and objectives.
Students will also get to learn about some behind the scenes elements, and assist with design elements such as set, costumes, and more!
Auditions will take place on the first day of the program, and everyone who wants to be in the show will be cast!

This program culminates in a weekend of ticketed performances!
Rehearsals and performances will take place at the NESPA Blackbox, located at 55 Concord Street, North Reading, Suite 106/107
Mondays from 6pm to 8pm

No rehearsal December 29th and February 16th
