Join us on Monday, April 13th for a musical theatre masterclass with Broadway performer Andrew Stevens Purdy.
Learn how to approach not just singing a song, but how to truly bring it to life while staying fully connected to your character. Andrew will share techniques for combining acting and singing to create a compelling musical theatre performance.
The masterclass will conclude with a Q&A where students can ask questions about life as a working actor, living in New York City, and what it’s like to audition for and perform on Broadway.
This is an incredible opportunity to learn from a Broadway performer with real-world experience that you won’t want to miss!
Andrew Stevens Purdy is a NYC-based actor and educator, currently making his Broadway debut in The Book of Mormon as a member of the ensemble and the understudy for Elder Cunningham. Regional theatre: Newsies (The Gateway), Jesus Christ Superstar (A.C.T. of CT), Hair (Forestburgh Playhouse). Film: Meet Cute, Unidentified Objects. Proud alum of Elon University and the Walnut Hill School for the Arts.

Currently, he runs his own musical theatre coaching business, and has served as a guest instructor at institutions worldwide, such as Drake University, The Shanti Bhavan Children’s Project, and several performing arts studios across the northeast.
