April Vacation - Audition Workshop with Renee Haley! (ages 12+)
Practice going through everything the audition process entrails with real feedback in a safe environment.
This workshop is designed to help alleviate some of the pressure off the dreaded word "audition." This workshop will allow students to practice their singing and dancing in an audition-like environment, without the pressure of getting the part, allowing them to focus on technique and effective strategies for how to approach their next audition.
Students will have the opportunity to discuss their mock-auditions with Renee and get helpful feedback about what is working, and what can be worked on.
This workshop will include a mock-dance call, which will include learning a brief dance combination that students will perform in small groups, as well as a mock vocal audition, which will involve singing a 32-bar cut (the standard at most auditions).
Students should arrive wearing clothes/shoes they can dance in, with water, and a prepared 32-bar cut of a song of their choice.
