Alice In Wonderland JR
Fall down the rabbit hole with Alice as she navigates the curious world of Wonderland on a journey of self-discovery.
When young Alice finds herself in a strange world where everything seems upside down, she must find her way home…and find herself along the way. As she travels through Wonderland, she encounters all of the iconic characters that audiences have come to love: including the ever-tardy White Rabbit, the grinning Cheshire Cat, a cool Caterpillar, the wacky Mad Hatter, and the hot-tempered Queen of Hearts.
Dates:
Monday-Friday, 7/29 -8/9 from 9:00am- 3:00pm. Rehearsals will be held at the Quannapowitt Playhouse in Reading (55 Hopkins Street)
Ticketed performances will be on Saturday 8/10 @ 6pm & Sunday 8/11 @ 2pm.
The non-refundable deposit for Alice in Wonderland Jr is $100.00. The full cost of the program is $695.00. The balance can be paid by check or through venmo at @kelly-nespa. A payment plan can be instituted if requested.

OVERVIEW / SYNOPSIS
Winner of the Tony and the Drama Desk Awards for Best Book, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee has charmed audiences across the country with its effortless wit and humor. Featuring a fast-paced, wildly funny and touching book by Rachel Sheinkin and a truly fresh and vibrant score by William Finn, this bee is one unforgettable experience.
An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion! At least the losers get a juice box.
Auditions-
REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Each actor will get a 10-minute timeslot. Auditions will consist of singing 16 bars and song choices will be sent out after registration. Audition dates and times will be sent out following registration.
Rehearsal Dates
Spelling Bee rehearsals will run from June 24th to July 25th in the late afternoons/evenings - exact times will be based around actor's availability.
Ticketed Performances-
Friday, July 26th @ 7pm
Saturday July 27th @ 7pm
If cast, the show fee is $595.00. Rehearsals and performances will be held at The NESPA blackbox located at 55 Concord Street, suite 107.

Roald Dahl’s WILLY WONKA JR follows enigmatic candy manufacturer Willy Wonka as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy. Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats, but the fifth is a likeable young lad named Charlie Bucket, who takes the tour in the company of his equally amiable grandfather. The children must learn to follow Mr. Wonka’s rules in the factory — or suffer the consequences.
